In March 2026, the five areas across Merseyside — Liverpool, Knowsley, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral — came together as a multi-agency partnership to strengthen their ability to prevent, identify and respond to child sexual abuse.
Co-produced with survivors of child sexual abuse and informed by the experiences and insights of over 2,000 multi-agency partners, this work has shaped the Merseyside Child Sexual Abuse Strategy and the one-minute practice guides referenced below.
If you would like any further information about the Merseyside Tackling Child Sexual Strategy, please contact one of the local Children’s Safeguarding Partnership in Merseyside.
